Browse and curate

Tap a picture in Photos to browse and zoom. Photo settings → Photo library provides favourites, framing, crop and details. Use Select pictures for batch actions. Crop edits are staged until you save them.

The trash action excludes a picture from this frame’s gallery, Overview and slideshows. It does not delete email. Undo restores an exclusion; exclusions persist across later mail checks.

Choose a slideshow

Settings → Photos → Slideshow has Soft fade, Falling prints, Photo collage, Gentle pan & zoom and Still gallery. Choose a viewing time, order and collection. Keepers survive rolling retention within their separate storage limit.

The player has Previous, Play/Pause, Zoom/Fit, Next and Close. Controls fade when you leave the player alone. Touch or pointer movement brings them back.

Set Show photos after for idle playback. The first touch exits an idle slideshow. When the frame is offline, it uses pictures already saved.

Collections and local media

Use collections and saved presentations to organize different viewing choices. Local import can add supported pictures and muted clips. Optional soundtrack and video export have codec and size limits; see the detailed slideshow guide in the repository.

The shared Google Photos source uses Google’s player and has different capabilities. Switching sources does not turn a shared album into a local photo cache.
